A powder white sensation

Originally inspired by French porcelain, this scent creates the feel and sensation of pure, white powder. A light floral and luminescent breeze passes over a cloud of fine, powdery whiteness. It’s apparent air of naked innocence, nuanced by an underlying warm, sensuality.

Notes: A floral bouquet, cotton flower, rice powder, white musk, vanilla and sandalwood.

BLACKPEPPER is an electric collision of molecules: the crash of spicy pepper seeds suspended within infinite darkness. A powerful subversion of olfactive convention. An incessant investigation of the perpetually unknown. Warm, dry Madagascan Pepper cracks against fiery Cedarwood. Rich, fragrant Akigalawood (Patchouli, Agarwood) fuses with the caramel resin of Tonka Bean. Precious seeds and opulent woods blend in blazing harmony, laced with a musky accord. A resonant reverberation of dynamic intensity. Spice, seen through the transformative gaze of Comme des Garçons.

In 2009, Comme des Garçons felt it was necessary to do something in response to the general negativity engendered by the recession and to counter the feeling of things being blocked or stopped because of the crisis. BLACK Comme des Garçons was born. 2013 marked the regeneration of that concept through the launch of BLACK Comme des Garçons Eau de Toilette, an emergency, guerrillalike, spiced-up new scent.

A highly revered, resinous extract from the forests of Vietnam and Laos, Agarwood has been used for devotion and meditation in Buddhist temples for centuries. 'Agarwoud' combines notes of Bulgarian rose, amber and benzoin to create a surprisingly contemporary, clean and elegant accord in which the unique character of oud is instantly recognisable.

Against Nature

Timothy Han

Inspired by Joris-Karl Huysmans’ 1971 novel of the same name, “Against Nature” takes TH/E in a completely new direction. The scent of a freshly broken sappling mixed against the notes of metal, lacquer and blood.

Then Jasmin Blossom, and precious Damask Rose dance with fresh Grapefruit and elegant Lavandin in the core. Violet Leaf and Cassia Bark give an etherial, flirty warmth. Coconut offers the fragrance a sensual velvety background. No. 06: Ylang Ylang is a beautiful, energising perfume that warms the senses and opens the heart.

A dry, spicy core of White Pepper and bright Elemi blended with opulent Corsican Immortelle battles a Tangerine and Blue Chamomile entry. Tobacco Leaf and Galbanum emphasise the perfume’s crispy dry personality. The scent is underlined by a French Oak Moss – the classic fougère underpinning. Crisp, exciting and full of surprises.

AER Accord No. 02: CADE is a smokey, mysterious scent that starts strong with fiery Cade and burnt Frankincense. Pine forest notes from Silver Spruce give way to sweetness from Guaiac Wood and Madagascar Vanilla, and a dry grassiness from Galbanum and smoked herbalness from Java Vetyver. An intriguing, deeply-layered scent; not for the light-hearted.
