adidas Originals continue their collaboration with Bristol Studio on a basketball-inspired capsule collection to present Sharp Shooters – adidas Originals by Bristol Studio The rising star of the Los Angeles fashion scene fuse their fresh take on iconic sportswear silhouettes with adidas’ rich basketball heritage.
RELEASE NOV 17 ONLINE AND IN STORE
"From the very first basketball shoe in 1949, to the all-conquering shell-toed Superstars of the 1970s, to the unforgettable jerseys designed for the New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors - adidas maintains a strong legacy in the world of basketball. For the second drop in its ongoing relationship with Los Angeles-based Bristol Studio, the two brands draw on this heritage to bring the flair and functionality of the courts to a contemporary fashion environment."
"The footwear offering takes the form of a new ‘Crazy’ style, available in both low and high-top versions. Inspired in part by the Kobe Bryant KB8 signature shoe, which was later reborn as the Crazy 8, the Bristol Crazy BYW is a street-level refinement of an iconic basketball style. Each version features a blend of premium nubuck or ‘hairy’ leathers and technically-advanced knitted textiles. The high-performance sole replicates the silhouette of early-2000s basketball sneakers, brought up-to-date through the use of BOOST technology."
"The accompanying apparel is equally reverent to recent adidas basketball history. Luke Tadashi, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bristol Studio, offers a refined take on styles that began life in the sporting arena and found a new popularity in early-2000s hip-hop culture. The Tearaway Pant is a sophisticated take on the classic basketball snap off pant, while the Warm Up Track Top and Shooting Tee also strip courtside apparel down to their minimalist essentials. Each item is rendered in tonal shades of light brown, white and onyx, as are the two most game-ready pieces: a basketball jersey with Bristol Studio logo and a pair of loose-fitting, co-branded shorts."

Introducing Never Made, a revolutionary footwear concept inspired by the past, designed for the future. Past icons from the adidas archive are reimagined, as their soles are swapped with the brand’s most innovative toolings. Featuring eight distinct silhouettes, the newest adidas Originals footwear concept provides a window into the brand’s design process. Inspired by internal design workshops, which see the brand’s designers explore unexpected combinations, the collection is a manifestation of ideas into reality.
Tapping into three key decades of adidas archival design - the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s – the Never Made collection explores the intersection of past and future, reinventing iconic silhouettes through the lens of the brand’s most innovative products.
Instantly recognizable 70’s aesthetics are reimagined through the Line of Descent series, which sees the COUNTRYxKAMANDA merges aggressive all-terrain-inspired detailing from two eras.
Looking to one of the brand’s modern day icons, the genealogy of NMD series revisits three key sources of inspiration from the 80’s, placing the silhouettes atop NMD_R1 tooling to create the MICROPACERxR1.
Turning to one of the most important decades in adidas Original’s recent history, the genetically Modified 90’s Tech series sees two iconic footwear concepts, Feet You Wear and EQT, brought firmly into the future - reimagined atop BOOST tooling to create the ZX930xEQT.

ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY 424 available at Storm 30th November.
For FW19, adidas Originals headed to Fairfax, Los Angeles to team up with one of the West Coast’s most sought-after brands, 424.
424 was co-founded by Guillermo Andrade, and for his first collaboration with adidas Originals, Andrade applied the same vision to three classic adidas footwear models. Despite his undoubtedly contemporary design instincts, Andrade leans on the cleaner, more refined aspects of his sensibilities, ensuring that each shoe feels utterly fresh while still retaining the timeless craftsmanship and attention-to-detail that has come to define adidas’ sporting heritage over the decades.
First up, Andrade turned to the SC Premier, an already minimalist model. In Andrade’s hands, the shoe is stripped back even further: one pair arrives utterly blacked out while the other is an all-off-white affair. Exterior logos of any sort are limited to a subtle laser engraved 424 logo on lateral of tooling and the co-branding on the tongue, which is also the only part of the shoe to feature a pop of color – the scarlet red patch that has become synonymous with the 424 brand in recent years.
